A groomed cross-country ski track crosses the snowy plateau of La Féclaz, lined with snow-laden spruces under a deep blue sky

In mid-October the Bauges are still in their autumn colours, but it is already time to think about winter. Here is how the 2026-2027 season looks at our place.

Open all winter

The duplex stays open throughout the cold season. Heating is included in the price, as are linen and Wi-Fi. Outside Christmas and New Year, winter is low season: €85 a night, with a two-night minimum. Over Christmas and New Year, a night costs €110 and the minimum stay goes up to four nights.

The French school holidays, at Christmas and in February, are the most popular weeks. If your dates depend on them, book early. You can check availability and book directly on our booking page.

The “Snow weekend in the Bauges” offer

For a taste of the snow without organising a whole ski trip, we offer two nights for two people, cleaning and linen included, with a board of Bauges cheeses for the first evening. The next day you head out for a half-day snowshoe outing with a qualified mountain leader on the La Féclaz plateau, 40 minutes away. The leader provides the gear and picks the route to suit the snow.

It all comes to €320, excluding tourist tax and the drive to La Féclaz. The offer runs from December to March, snow permitting: at this altitude, snow cover varies a lot from one winter to the next. All the details are on the Offers page.

Breakfast for early starts

On ski days, every minute counts. For €12 per person per night, we leave fresh bread, pastries, homemade jam, yoghurt and fruit juice at your door every morning. Just order it by 6pm the day before. You can add it to your stay on the Extras page or when you book.

Before heading up to the slopes

The La Féclaz and Revard plateau, Margériaz and the big Tarentaise and Maurienne resorts are all within driving distance of our place. Our guide to skiing near Chambéry covers distances, activities and the compulsory winter equipment for cars, required in many mountain municipalities in Savoie from 1 November.

If you drive an electric car, the 11 kW charger in the car park means you can leave in the morning fully charged (€20 per charge).
